The Throttle Family
The Member Book
Every public member of the family: the founder at the top, then everybody else in the order they signed up. Find a rider three ways: by member name, by bike, or by where they are. Private profiles never appear here, and private bikes never show up in any search.
Your Garage
Your Profile Is Your Garage
Your member name, your own words, your bikes: this is the profile the family sees when it is public, and the one your forum posts ride under. Your real name and email stay private. The member name is the only public identity.
Pick your member name
One name per member. It is the name on your profile, under your forum posts, and in the member book. House rules hold some names back: anything with Pesky in it, and official sounding names like Admin, Moderator, Support, Staff, Official, Owner, and Founder are reserved for the house.
Your profile
Location is city, state or province, and country only. Never an exact address.
Public profiles appear in the member book and can be found by name, bike, or location. Private profiles never appear, anywhere.
On lets other members send you a message request from your card in the member book or from your garage page. Off takes that Message button away. It never changes your profile or your garage.
Your photo and your video
Past bikes wall
Up to four photos for the ones that are gone but not forgotten. Give each one its bike year, make, and model, the year you built it, and a caption if you want one. Before and afters welcome.
Closing up shop
Delete your profile data clears your profile, your bikes, and your past bikes wall for good. Your account stays, and you can build a fresh profile.
Delete your account removes your profile, your garage, and your forum posts from the site for good. This cannot be undone.
Member to Member
Messages
Private messages between members, under member names only. A first message arrives as a request: you read the words, then accept or decline, and nothing opens up until you accept. Anyone gets too much, block them from inside the conversation; anything over the line, report it and the house reads the report.

Signed-in members can send one question letter straight to the owner of The Pesky Throttle. It lands in the owner's inbox on this site. It is a letter, not a chat: write it whole, send it once.

Built in and always on: any name containing Pesky; Admin, Administrator, Moderator, Support, Staff, Official, Owner, and Founder as whole words; and the owner's own first name standing alone. Add your own patterns below. A pattern refuses any member name that contains it. Start a pattern with = to refuse one exact name only.
